Teething troubles : Tuesday 28. December 2004

So, I'm slowly redeveloping my sites into one eclectic site under the HD57 domain. I'm aiming to embrace web standards and incorporate a php backend to facilitate updating. It has been going slowly! And then the worm turned up

Apparently the sanity worm exploits a security hole in phpBB. I'm not using this software but no matter, it only takes one site on a shared server to be running a lapsed version and the worm is in doing its nasty business through every site on the server. Its taken me a couple of hours to work out what was going on and tidy up after the little wriggly bugger Hopefully the offending site(s) will clean up their act and fingers crossed it stays away!
